Do you need to use tools to install PRO grooved clips?

No, you don't need to use tools to assemble any of our products. The entire range is designed based on two core principles: simplicity and tool-free use. This comes from workplace experience, where it is always a huge advantage to have both hands free — regardless of the task.

Should the clip for flush-mounting boxes be positioned in a specific way?

No, not necessarily. The clip is designed to be flexible and can be placed wherever there is space and it is appropriate. There are no requirements for a specific drill size, but we recommend a drill bit in the size Ø79–Ø83 mm. If you use a wall slot cutter, we recommend approx. 1.5 cm of clearance between the flush-mounted box and the brickwork.

Do PRO clips, clips for flush-mounting boxes and Spider clips work in concrete?

Yes. PRO chaser clips, clips for flush-mounting boxes and Spider clip chaser clips all work in all types of masonry — regardless of whether it is lightweight concrete, brickwork or hard concrete.

When the clips for flush-mounted junction boxes are built into the brickwork, the chasing runs over the lid. Should I cut it away?

No. You just snap off the alignment tab with your fingers — quick and easy. The clip is designed to snap 1 mm below the edge of the flush-mounted box, so it neither causes interference when you mount the frame nor damages the filler and mortar.

What do I do if I have more than two cables in the chased-out groove?

Then you can use PRO Channel Clips for 16 mm pipes with ease. It has proven to be really good for precisely that situation where multiple cables need to be gathered in the same channel. Alternatively, you can use our new Spider clip which can hold multiple pipes or cables in wide and uneven channels.

What do I do if I have two 16 mm pipes in the same channel?

PRO pipe clips for 16, 20 and 25 mm pipes are designed so that you can click them together — or in other words: press them into the groove next to each other. As standard, we recommend a groove width of 22 mm for a single 16 mm pipe. Two pipes require 44 mm, three pipes require 66 mm. Due to the design of the clip, you can have a maximum of three pipes in the same groove. You also have the option of using our new Spider clip pipe clips, which also handle the task with ease — and cover a span from 22 to 55 mm.

Do you need to use a wall chaser to use the clip?

We recommend using a wall chaser for our PRO channel clip range. Once the wall chaser is set to the recommended 22 mm width and 30 mm depth (for 16 mm pipes and cables), virtually all requirements are met. You can secure pipes and one, two or more cables without having to readjust the chaser — and you get a narrow, professional chase that is easy for the bricklayer to seal. Our new Spider clip, on the other hand, is designed to be secured in uneven chases where a wall chaser has not been used — it adjusts itself.

Do Bowler clips fit 8 mm reinforcing bars?

Yes. Bowler Clips are available for both 6 mm and 8 mm reinforcing bars. Both clips hold 20 mm pipes securely and firmly to the reinforcing bar.

Is any tool required for the Bowler Clips series?

No. The Bowler Clips range is also designed so that you don't need tools. You simply press the clip down over the rebar where it fits, and it clicks into place. However, we do have an installation tool available to purchase as an extra to make the workflow easier — but it is not a requirement to use the Bowler Clip.

How many Bowler Clips do you need?

The Bowler Clip fits very securely, and the spacing depends somewhat on the surroundings and the type of pipe. For underfloor heating pipes, we recommend approx. 40–50 cm between the clips. For 20 mm electrical conduits, we recommend approx. 30–40 cm between the clips.

Clips Group was founded by an electrician who was frustrated by the lack of proper fixing methods for cables, pipes and flush-mounting boxes in chased grooves. The answer was the Rilleclips PRO series and clips for flush-mounting boxes. The Bowler Clips series was created in response to demand from plumbers — and, like the rest of the range, has been developed for use completely without tools. Most recently, the Spider clip series has been added, which solves the fixing of cables, pipes and large or small groove widths or uneven grooves in one and the same product.

Common to all Clips Group products is one immutable principle: no tools are required. This is no coincidence, but a fully conscious decision by the inventor. Where other products require a drill, hammer, screwdriver and needle-nose pliers, you click Clips Group products into place with your fingers alone. You are more than welcome to use a tool if you prefer, but it is never a requirement. This makes the workflow extremely easy, stress-free and without unnecessary strain on the body.
